Title: Homebound Instruction
Expectations: PLEASE NOTE: AS AN EXTRA WORK ASSIGNMENT THERE IS FLEXIBILITY IN THE HOURS FOR THE DELIVERY OF SERVICES
1. Homebound instructors provide one on one instruction to students in home, alternative location, or virtual on an as needed basis.
Instructor will contact the parent to arrange a mutually agreed upon time for home-instruction.
Instruction can occur in alternate location (i.e.-library, community center) if the parent and teacher feel it is appropriate
A minimum of 1 hour of instruction per day must be provided of traditional coursework or 30 minutes per day of instruction for supplemental virtual course work (which is determined by Homebound administrator).
A parent or designated adult must be present in the home at the time of instruction.
2. Teacher will coordinate with all current teachers to obtain assignments to provide to the student.
3. Teacher will facilitate instruction and monitor progress of virtual coursework through the online platform.
4. The teacher will determine which assignments/lessons to cover during the hour of instruction based on student needs and provide this instruction accordingly.
The student will have an expectation to complete work independently outside of the 1 hour session.
5. Submit student progress, hours and mileage on a monthly basis.
